Lepore Fine Arts specializes in artists, particularly American, working in the period 1850 to 1950.

The gallery has hosted exhibitions on Woman's Work; Painters of the Harcourt Studio; Mirror of the Times: Newburyport Painter's Around the Turn of the Century, as well as retrospectives on Carl W. Peters, Marion Campbell Hawthorne, George W. Harvey and Jacques Hnizdovsky.

With over 30 years experience in this field, Sandra Lepore, owner of the gallery, has spearheaded exhibitions on Leslie Prince Thompson, St. Botolph Club; Rosamond Smith Bouve, Cape Ann Museum; as well as curating the first retrospective on Laura Coombs Hills in 1996 for the Historical Society of Old Newbury. In 2009, the gallery participated in a hugely successful joint venture with The Cooley Gallery of Old Lyme, Ct and Vincent Vallarino Fine Art, Ltd of New York to produce an exhibition and catalog, Laura Coombs Hills: Portraits from my Garden.

Sandra Lepore graduated from St Lawrence University in Canton, New York with a BA in History. Aside from the various gallery catalogs, Sandra has been published in such magazines as American Art Review, Antiques and Fine Art, and the Thirty-Second Annual Open Juried Exhibition, For Pastels Only published by the Pastel Society of America. In addition, she has been profiled in Northshore Magazine, Newburyport Magazine, St. Lawrence Alumni Magazine, and Who’s Who in American Women as well as a number of regional newspapers. She is a member of the St. Botolph Club, venue for the first Monet exibition in the United States.
